welcome to county osteopaths
This is when your back locks suddenly and painfully when you bend over. You will find you cannot move without a lot of pain. There is usually no pain, tingling, numbness or weakness in your legs. This scenario is a common one but it is not serious. One of your back joints has moved too far and the muscles around it have seized up to protect it.

The symptoms usually go by themselves within four or five days leaving you perfectly mobile and free of pain. If this has happened to you more than once then you should consider Osteopathic treatment to diagnose and treat the underlying cause. The cause is usually stiffness in the joints above and below the one that locks.
