Leaning into Darkness

Commissioned by Sanctuary

Project initiated by Saffy Setohy

A one to one guided movement journey, exploring our sensory experience of darkness.

Forefronting senses other than vision, we will explore a number of invitations and suggestions which give attention to the specific and special experience of moving into the night.

To go in the dark with a light is to know the light.
To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.
Wendell Berry
